    Community Projects

    KYDS “Pop” (Philanthropic Outreach Project) provides food for children of financially struggling families during school breaks.

    After finding students unprepared for rain and cooler weather, we partnered with several local retailers to offer a warm coat distribution every fall and winter.

    Take Action Campaign, “TAC” in collaboration with Beyond the Bell and other nonprofit organizations teens find opportunities to serve their communities (2023 beach clean up pictured).

    Summer Learning

    LAUSD/Beyond the Bell partner operating Summer Enrichment “day camp” open 8AM - 6PM at several host schools for students TK - 8th grade offers fitness and active play during cooler morning hours with afternoons reserved for fun activities indoors.

    B.R.E.A.K.S. (Bridging Recreation, Enrichment & Academics for KYDS during Summer) focuses on reducing summer learning loss and improving both literacy skills and English language fluency..

    Since 2013, an average of 82% of children completing our B.R.E.A.K.S. program have shown improvement in two or more of the following literacy skill areas: phonics, vocabulary, spelling, fluency and most importantly comprehension!
