BREAKS – Summer Learning

B.R.E.A.K.S. (Bridging Recreation, Enrichment & Academics for KYDS during Summer) is an eight-week program which focuses on reducing summer learning loss and improving both literacy skills and English language fluency in elementary school age children.

Since 2013, 82% of the children who completed the B.R.E.A.K.S. program have shown improvement in two or more of the following literacy skill areas: phonics, vocabulary, spelling, fluency and most importantly comprehension.
